To help make your transition to Lincoln College easy and organized, we have created checklists of important tasks that should be completed prior to attending SOAR.
We strongly encourage you to review the checklist and complete tasks well in advance of your SOAR session, as you may be prevented from registering for classes if certain tasks are not finished.
Required before you attend SOAR
Pay your Enrollment Deposit: Before attending your scheduled SOAR session you must submit your enrollment deposit of $50 and be confirmed by the Office of Admissions.
Submit your Housing Deposit and complete Housing Questionnaire: All students are required to submit a $125 housing deposit and fill out a housing questionnaire before getting assigned to their residence hall room. To access the Housing Questionnaire, please visit https://lchousing.lincolncollege.edu/assignments/housing-questionnaire/.
Before you attend SOAR
Submit final high school and/or college transcripts: Submit a request to your guidance counselor or for college or university registrar office to have your final, official transcripts sent to Lincoln College. Transcripts must be received by August 1.
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Completing the FAFSA allows you to be considered for several forms of financial aid at Lincoln College. Complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov
Students and parents should bring their FAFSA ID to SOAR (that they used to file their FAFSA) so they can complete the financial aid process.
- If you have already completed and finalized your FAFSA, you will receive an award offer via email form our Office of Financial Aid. Follow the instructions provided to accept your aid.
- You must complete your Master Promissory Note, which is your promise to repay your student loan. This can be completed prior to SOAR by going to www.studentloans.gov. Once you’re logged into the site you will select the option for Undergraduate Students. In order to complete this application you will need your FSA Username and Password, Two References; one must live outside of your home.
- The Entrance Counseling Quiz will educate you on your rights and responsibilities for taking out a student loan. This can be completed prior to coming to SOAR on www.studentloans.gov. In order to complete this application you will need your FSA Username and Password.
- If your parent plans to apply for a Parent Plus Loan, they must complete a credit check.
Complete your Health Forms and submit Immunization Records: All full-time students are required to complete certain health records prior to the first day of classes. The Health Services Office will mail a packet of information to you once your enrollment deposit has been processed. To download the required paperwork, visit www.healthservices.lincolncollege.edu.
Spring: All health forms are due by December 15.
Fall: All health forms are due by August 1.
Register for your parking permit if you’ll have a car on campus: Campus parking permits are required for all students, faculty, and staff who will commute or bring a car to campus.
Take your Lincoln College Student ID picture: Get your official Lincoln College Student ID picture taken. When you move onto campus, your ID will be ready for you to pick-up when you check-in on move-in day.
